Pamiętaj o BACKSHIFCIE czasów w mowie zależnej (gdy reporting verb w przeszłości):

Pamiętaj o przykładach:

• "I am tired" → He said he was tired.
• "I work here" → She said she worked there.
• "I have eaten" → He said he had eaten.
• "I will come" → She said she would come.

Pamiętaj o ZAIMKACH — też się zmieniają:

• "I love you" → He said he loved her.
• "My car" → She said it was her car.

Pamiętaj o TIME EXPRESSIONS:

• now → then
• today → that day
• tomorrow → the next day / the following day
• yesterday → the day before / the previous day
• this/these → that/those
• here → there

Pamiętaj o "say" vs "tell":

• say + bez osoby (He said that...) lub z "to" (He said to me),
• tell + osoba (He told me that...) — zawsze z osobą.

Pamiętaj o "that" — może być pominięte: He said (that) he was tired.

Pamiętaj o pułapce — gdy reportujemy fakty wciąż prawdziwe lub uniwersalne, backshift NIE jest obowiązkowy:

• "The Earth is round" → He said the Earth is/was round (oba OK).
